We're on a mission to build the best platform for wedding guests.

At Vowza, we aim to become the world’s leading platform for engaged couples and their wedding guests by bringing joy, utility, inclusivity and genuine value to their wedding experience and by doing so beautifully and without friction.

We are building a best-in-class digital platform to bring engaged couples and their wedding guests closer together in the days, months and years leading up to and including the big day.

How Vowza began

When planning their own wedding, Amy and Nick noticed a gap in the market for an app built for wedding guests; not only on the day but in the build up to the day as well. There are so many wedding planning products, all aimed primarily at the engaged couples; but very little that had the guests at the centre of their user experience.

The products available were hard to use, and felt like information dumps rather than a well-thought-out use of important details that could be valuable to guests. They were also primarily web-based, and any app counterparts felt completely unfamiliar on smartphones.

Amy and Nick built the first version of Vowza in the months leading up to their own wedding, and made it available to their guests on the big day.

The story so far

Since Amy and Nick's wedding in August 2019, we have been working hard to build and launch Vowza. In February 2020, we showcased Vowza at our first wedding fair and were completely blown away by the response. The app was still in development and not ready for launch just yet, however couples were queuing to get their hands on test devices to see what Vowza was and how it could make their guests' experience of their big day more special and unique.

We were due to launch at the National Wedding Show in April 2020, but COVID-19 all but destroyed the wedding industry in the blink of an eye. The National Wedding Show was postponed until October 2020, which of course was postponed again, and again.

Finally, there is light at the end of the tunnel now for engaged couples; and they can start to plan their weddings in the hope that they'll be able to have the day they dreamed of before COVID-19.

Laura joined Amy and Nick as a co-founder in December 2020 to lead our marketing efforts, and we are now working harder than ever to launch at the National Wedding Show in October 2021.

We can't wait to see you there, and to show you what we've been working on!
